Hi friends! Boy, I'm not sure where the time goes, but I know I've been pretty busy! Over the weekend I created these two ACEO, Art Card Edition Originals. They are 2.5 x 3.5 (Wallet size) Graphite on a cream colored paper.
Cowgirl and
Blowin' in the wind. $10.00 each and $1.00 shipping each in the USA. Shipping can be combined also, if they are purchased together. Inquiries may come to
debflood@debfloodart.com
I would also like to remind everyone that my new book:
The Equine Art of Debbie Flood, A brush with emotions, spirits, & bonds of horses and man, is ready for ordering. I'll be placing the order on October 15th, this Friday. If you would like a signed copy from the 1st printing, please send me an email so I can make sure I order enough. You can preview the book, all 46 pages on my website
http://www.debfloodart.com It is right there on the front page.
I'm happy to say that I have a good amount of orders so far! Thank you for those!
Today, I received my watercolor, Back in the saddle, back from the Breckenridge Fine Art Museums Exhibit, held at the Museum in Breckenridge Texas. What a classy act they are! They included a nice color booklet with the images of the winning paintings, and also all the participating artist's names in there to! And a really nice thank you letter. I'm sure I will apply for inclusion in more of their exhibits.
I sent out the watercolor painting "Big sky dreams" to the International Museum of Fine Art, Sun Bowl Exhibit 2010, in El Paso, Texas, today. Pinch me on that one! That painting won't come back until sometime in January 2011. That is if it doesn't sell while there.
In between all of this, I have been working on the new art group I recently founded. The International Equine Artists
http://www.internationalequineartists.com The group is growing by leaps and bounds. I have been processing memberships, updating the website and fielding lots of questions, checking in on the private online forum and the facebook page. I've taken out a couple days of each week to work on this, and the rest of the week to work on art in the studio. Seems to be working out just fine for me that way. I guess it's all about time management!
I'm still open for more commission work. If you would like to have a Graphite or watercolor portrait done of your horse, dog or child, send me an email. I work from your photos and they can be sent through to my email.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
Debbie
