"Ranch hands" 10 x 10 Watercolor $800.00 inquiries may come to my email at debflood@debfloodart.com thank you. Stacey Huston from 'A focus in the wild' photography submitted the image to be painted. Thank you Stacey!
Yay, I finished this one. I think it's finished. I'll let it sit for awhile and see how it seems later after a few days. I studied the human flesh on some of the Master's paintings at the Colby Museum of Art in Waterville, Maine last weekend and I was able to 'see' the colors used in the shadows of the flesh. Wow, I applied it here to the hand under the puppy's chin and in a few other low areas in the hand and it seemed to be just what that hand needed. I really need to get out of the studio more often and go to the Museums!
I was able to load the page last night and today, to jury the equine art show from Ohio. That's a fun and interesting process. I've sent my thoughts, and they will be compared with the other 2 jurors and that of the final judge and then adjustments will be made if needed. I'm looking forward to see how close my thoughts are to those of the other two jurors! This is a great learning tool! I'm soaking it in...like a sponge!
I've got another watercolor started and I'll share that one with you tomorrow. Today's painting and tomorrows will be going in my new coffee table book, "The Equine Art of Debbie Flood, A brush with emotions, spirits, & bonds of horses and man".
Thank you for following along. Please share these emails and images with your family and friends.
Talk with you tomorrow,
Debbie
