Western wedding daily watercolor

Today's daily watercolor is 'Western wedding', 5 x 7 $50.00. Inquiries to purchase may come to my email at debflood@debfloodart.com, thanks.
I have to give some credit to my oldest son for helping me with this painting. He came home from school, and me thinking I had just finally finished this painting (after many interruptions today) and he tells me the girl looks like a monkey! Ug. I could see it too. Monkey girl from planet of the apes! I guess I just dated myself with that remark. Oh well, been one of those days, ha.
So, back to work and washed out her face & some of the veil that covered it. But hey...I got it!
So here they are...the little bride and groom riding off into the purple sunset.

I've had a few people ask me about how I take payments. So I will post here for an FYI: I accept Paypal and in some instances a personal check sent to me through the regular mail. I have Paypal set up so that I can create an invoice and email it with a paypal button. This works world wide and is safe-secure and so easy! Paypal takes e-checks, credit cards and your paypal account. The shipping gets added in and you don't have to worry about anything.
Paypal is also used on my website, so if there is something there that you would like to purchase...it's easy and fast.

Enjoy today's watercolor and please share with family and friends.
Talk with you tomorrow!

'Get a leg up' Daily Watercolor

Today's watercolor is 'Get a leg up' 5 x7 $50.00. Inquires may come to my email at debflood@debfloodart.com thanks.
I watched this boy for quite sometime and taking a lot of photos. He was so cute and his red Quarter Horse looked really big next to him! His grandma helped him with putting his black chaps on and getting him all spiffy for the show ring. What a nice horse he had. The horse would stand there forever waiting for him to get up there in that saddle. The best babysitter this little boy will ever have!
Yesterday's painting 'Lil cowboy' sold, Thank you!
I would like to also remind you all that I still have plenty of copies of my book, 'Children & their 4~legged friends, a series of watercolor paintings & poems. Hard cover $54.95 and soft cover $44.95, available. You can order off my website at http://www.debfloodart.com or contact me through my email.
I also have the little books to build your own mural from the Le Cadeua Du Cheval, the Horse Gift mural, for $25.00 each. These books come in a nice slip cover too!

Lil' Cowboy, Painting a child a day daily watercolor

Happy Monday! Today's daily watercolor is 'Lil cowboy' 5 x 7, SOLD Thank you!!. Inquiries may come to my email at debflood@debfloodart.com thanks.
I just loved his hat! He had that thing pulled down tight! Maybe he thought a strong wind would come up, or the horse would take off at a fast gallop. I think that latter one would be in his dreams only!
Had a really nice weekend! The weather was awesome and still is today! I did a lot in the gardens on Saturday. Lots of weeds to pull and winter stuff to clean up & some transplanting. It looks so nice now. Sunday, did a little weed-whacking. I felt all refreshed today to get into the studio.
I hope your weekend was relaxing and enjoyable.
The girls have that pARTy Blog page all updated with everyone's renditions from one photo to highlight the Belmont race. You can view everyone's talent at http://www.the-virtual-party.blogspot.com
The Heart of the Horse Exhibit is still waiting for your vote for peoples choice. I have two paintings in this exhibit too. http://sitekreator.com/neeae I hope you take a little time to browse the art and vote for your favorite painting.
Cheers,
Debbie

Tray Chic for the Bangor Maine Discovery Museum Auction

Tray Chic update:
Here is the table top (to the right) and the tray (to the left) with the base coat color on over the primer. This is a really pretty color. Not as vivid as a Robin's egg, but along that color. The color is very light.

This is the table top that the tray will set down into. My theme here is Mustangs. I've got about 2 days work into this image. I'm using oil paint and have had to thin it a good amount to get it to slide over that Acrylic base paint. I'll probably go in and adjust a few things on this, such as the eye for the horse to the right. I love the expression on the horse to the left! So kind looking.

This is the Tray that sets down onto the table top. Mustangs in the wind. I just started this image yesterday and still has a lot of work to go on it, before it is done. I have issues with the dark horse to the left.

I've been off line for some time now. Waiting for repair on my satellite dish. It's limping along right now, but for a few days I had no signal at all !

I have put together an Equine Art Exhibit through the New England Equine Art Experience, NEEAE. The exhibit is titled "2009 Heart of the Horse" exhibit. You can view the exhibit from June 1~October 17, 2009 and vote once for one painting for the Peoples Choice award! Go to NEEAE website to vote and view.

I was chosen May's winner of the Month for the Watercolor Wednesdays Blog. It is a really fun Blog for Illustrators of Children's Books. I hope you go and check out all the cool art!! Some really talented artists on there.

And don't forget that I am posting daily a watercolor with an image of a child or child related items on my Painting a child a day Blog. Lately it has been difficult with my internet being weak, but I am still working and painting!!
