Tray Chic - Progress on End table with Server tray.

I have taken on a project that is going to be so much fun! I am painting an End table with serving tray for the Childrens Discovery Museum in Bangor, Maine. They are holding an auction in November to raise funds for the Museum.
I am posting the start of the project/table I am working on.
I picked the table up on Sunday the 17 of May. Today I bought the Primer and a base coat color for the table.
I have an image for the table top all drawn out and it is ready for transfer. I'm not going to disclose what the final image will be...it's fun to have a little suspense! But it will soon be revealed as I get to those steps of transfer and painting. Here the photos show the table top placed upside down and I began applying the primer to the underneath of the table top.
The next photo shows both the table top and the serving tray covered with the primer.
Another coat of primer will be applied tomorrow. I also have the legs that will need the primer also. I'll save the boring legs for last...ha ha.
I need to get the table and tray tops finished so I can get to painting the design on top. That is what will take the most time. I'll be painting the design in oil paints.

White Horse in Oil progress

I've been meaning to post an update on this white horse for awhile now. We've had a good amount of rain, or when the sun was out bright, I wasn't at the studio. Today I got a good photo.
As you can see, the green, in the horse, is disappearing and being replaced with a nice blue. I also put some color into the bridle and reins. Still a lot of work to do on this one and I also have the one of the Little cow poke dreams in progress, still sitting on the other easel. I'm sure I will get to them.
The Painting a child a day project is going full swing! I'm having a lot of fun with that project too. If you haven't seen or are not following that Blog, go take a look. I'm sure you will find joy there. Painting a child a day.

Thanks for looking and reading,
Debbie
